One of the albums I am anticipating the most, Curren$y's "Pilot Talk", is about to drop this week. The very first thing that I noticed when looking for information on the cd are the numerous site claiming to have the leaked copy. Now this is where my own ethics come into play. I support Curren$y because the dude has gone through so much to his album out, especially with the failed attempts on Young money and No Limit (Not his fault).
The problem that I have, the ethical delimna I see, is that people are on all these sites saying how much they support Spitta, but in their next sentence, they want a link to download the album for free. It's kinda like they lie to themselves. People have this rationale that if they say they support an artist publicly, it's okay for them to go download the album because no one will know they did it. Why waste the key strokes on a lie? Does it make you feel better to proclaim to the masses you support an artist when really you don't?
Let's just keep it real. If you like an artist, do the best thing you can do to help that artist out and actually pay for the album. They will appreciate and you will too.
Your thoughts?
