Every time a new artist is introduced to the world the first thing people try to
do is to compare the new artist to one that is well known or a legend. In Young
Sir's case, this would be a disservice. Clearly this young emcee is moving
boulders and creating his own lane. He has a very versatile style. On the track
“Don't Stop” he declares that he wants to change the game and I believe he will
definitely do so. It's hard to pick out a track that stands out from the rest. The
subject matter appeals to a wide range of audiences. If you can’t relate to at
least one of the tracks then you’re not listening. You can tell that a lot of thought
went into the project, it wasn't thrown together. This tape is one of those tapes
that you feel guilty for calling a mixtape because its quality resembles an album.
The only drawback is that it was released during the winter so you can’t ride
through the city with your windows down with the tape blasting. This is a
complete tape; you can play it from beginning to end. The beat selection is
impeccable. If the majors are wondering if he has the goods wonder no more, he
has a record on this mixtape that will be welcomed by all audiences. At least one
Young Sir’s records would appeal to you whether you’re young or old, male or
female, a hustler or a nine to five-r. I don’t want to single out too many tracks
because I want you to judge for yourself but I would feel remise if I didn't
mention his "Troy Davis" track. Out of all of the tributes to that have come out
depicting the injustice over the death of Troy Davis; Young Sir’s version is a
powerful composition with emotion invoking lyrics, a soulful beat, melodic hook,
and the decedent's voice to remind us all about the lives of those affected by
the decision that many may have forgotten. Once you get to track number 15,
you’re not done there are three additional tracks that are sure to ignite your
speakers. If you're still sleeping on Young Sir after this mixtape then you must
be dead.....Young Sir has a bright future ahead of him which is why he is
